Do Not Disturb Signs

Please remember to place the hanger sign provided outside your door if you do not wish to be disturbed. Maintenance and cleaning staff begin servicing rooms after 9am. If you do not use the sign, you may be disturbed after this time.

The latest check-out time is 11am. For late check-outs between 11am and 4pm we charge £40.00. After 4pm you would need to book the room for the night at the rate of the day. Late check-outs are subject to availability. If you require a later check-out, please contact Reception.

We have one EV Charging Point located at the back of our overnight resident’s car park. We charge a £15 fee for each use of the electric charging point which provides an unlimited usage time to a maximum of 24 hours. Our EV Charging Point delivers 7kW worth of power. This cannot be pre-booked, it is available on a first come first served basis.

All room rates include both our continental selection and full cooked breakfast.

Breakfast is served every day and slots are booked at main reception upon arrival.

Our chefs have taken special care to create menus which suit all taste buds. We are sure there will be something to tempt you.

Please be aware that booking is required for table reservations in the Bistro.

You can book a table in the restaurant by either speaking directly with a member of staff in the Bistro, by dialling 353 from the telephone in your room or via OpenTable on our website:

 

Our Bar and Lounge areas serve the same daytime & evening menus as the Bistro but have a more relaxed feel. We do not take table reservations for the Bar and Lounge areas so feel free to walk in, choose your table and order your food and drinks at the Bar.

We serve lunch and dinner during the following times

Monday-Sunday:

Lunch 12pm – 3.30pm (last orders must be in by 3.30pm).

Dinner 6pm – 9pm (last orders must be in by 9pm).

It is extremely important that every guest reads the fire instructions notice on the back of each bedroom door which shows the most appropriate escape route in case of an emergency.

 

Every Thursday at 14:30 the fire alarm system is tested to ensure it is in full working order. The fire alarm will ring for a short period and will then be silenced. In the event of an actual emergency, the alarm bell will ring continuously and the building must be evacuated immediately.

 

Please leave by the nearest fire exit and do not attempt to take any luggage with you. All guests must assemble in the front car park. A roll call will be taken there to ensure all guests are present.

 

Guests with disabilities, including impaired hearing or sight, should advise the Reception staff upon check-in that they may require special attention in the event of an emergency.

 

If you discover a fire, operate the nearest fire alarm call-point and leave the area by the closest fire exit immediately.

As we try to reduce our carbon footprint here’s our check list of what you can do to help the planet!

  • Turn off lights when leaving the room.
  • Turn off the television when leaving the room.
  • Turn off taps.
  • Towel and Linen Policy – Sheets will be changed every third day for a long stay guest and towels will be changed when the room is cleaned. Guests are asked to place all towels to be changed in the bath or shower. Towels hanging up tells us that you are happy to re-use them.

Please contact Reception should you require any of the following:

Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956 displayed at Reception, the hotel may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss or damage to guest property, even if the fault cannot be attributed to either the hotel proprietor or any member of the hotel staff. This liability:

 

1. Extends only to the property of guests who have taken a night’s accommodation at the hotel.

 

2. Is limited to £750 for any one article and a total of £1,500 for any one guest except in the case of property that has been deposited or offered for deposit.

This notice does not constitute an admission that liability under it attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any particular case.

You must make certain that the windows and door to your room are locked at all times when you leave the room.

Should you require your luggage to be stored, please contact Reception. Please note that capacity for luggage storage is limited & subject to availability. Please note we can only provide storage for a limited period entirely at your own risk and we regret that we are unable to store luggage overnight.

It is hotel policy to take payment from the guest’s credit card or a cash payment at check-in to the total value of the stay (if not prepaid).

We accept most major credit cards:

Visa, MasterCard, American Express and debit cards.

We regret we do not accept the following:

  • Payment by personal cheques
  • Cashing of personal cheques
  • Traveller’s cheques
  • Foreign currency

Please note we do not accept pets at this time.

Early morning calls may be arranged at Reception.

 

Messages

Any messages received for you at Reception, including any packages, will be available to collect at Reception. Please make one of our Reception team aware if you have arranged for a package to be delivered. Failure to do this will result in the package not being accepted.

Please be aware that we no longer supply robes and slippers in the rooms. Robes & slippers are available to hire for an additional charge of £5 per person.

Our room service menu is available during restaurant opening hours. To order room service please call 353.

DO NOT PUT NEAR A MOBILE PHONE. Each room is issued with one key card. If you need another, just ask.  For security we ask that you keep your key card with you when you are not in your room, you will be required to present this to charge items to your room.

Leisure facilities including swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room & gym are open from 7am-9pm everyday of the week.

 

Children’s swim times are 9am-11am & 4pm-6pm. If you are a group or party of 6 or more then you must pre book a time slot with the Spa reception.

External Calls

If you wish to make an external call, please dial 9 before the desired telephone number.

 

Internal Calls

To contact another room, simply dial 3 followed by the room number. For single digit rooms dial 30 before the room number i.e., 307 for Room 7 or for double digit rooms simply press 3followed by the room number i.e., 324 for Room 24.

If any guests wish to store valuables during their stay, we can store valuables in our hotel safe & guests will need to sign a declaration at main reception.  

As an added security measure, non-residential guests are not permitted on the bedroom floors. You are most welcome to entertain your visitors in the Lounge, Bar, or Bistro.

Our tap water is some of the best available in the UK and is safe to drink. To reduce our waste and lower of carbon footprint, we will no longer provide bottles of mineral water in the bedrooms. Given our location within the Brecon Beacons and sitting between two of the largest reservoirs in South Wales, Welsh Brecon Water comes out of our taps. Enjoy!
